Undeterred, the resilient congregation rebuilt their church, and by 1702, the Kreuzkirche was consecrated anew. Initially, the church was more modest than what we see today. It wasn't until the 1740s that the church began to take on its more elaborate appearance, with the addition of a tower, painted ceilings, and galleries.

In 1821, a significant shift occurred when the Lutherans and the Reformed congregations united to form the Evangelical Church in Baden. Consequently, most services were moved to the larger Stiftskirche, which also served the town's Catholic population until 1938. The Kreuzkirche, though not deconsecrated, was used less frequently for services.

The organ features 13 registers on a manual work and pedal, with mechanical actions.
