The church has seen its fair share of history, including a notable witch trial in 1592 that left a mark on its legacy. Architectural Features

Among the church's treasures is a late Gothic sacrament niche with original 15th-century paintings. The gravestones include one dedicated to Tetta Manninga, a local chieftain's wife who passed away in 1562, featuring cherubs and skulls as decorative motifs.

The church also houses two baroque paintings from the 17th century, depicting the Resurrection and Ascension of Christ, adding to the spiritual and artistic ambiance of the space.

Modern Additions

In the 1960s, the church underwent significant interior changes, including the installation of a new, simple stone altar. The original pews and organ were replaced, and in 1969, Hermann Hillebrand crafted a new organ with 20 registers across two manuals and a pedal, enhancing the church's musical offerings.

The church's sacred vessels, known as Vasa Sacra, include a gilded silver chalice donated in 1608, a pewter jug from 1730, and a silver jug from 1845, each representing a piece of the church's long-standing tradition of worship.
