In 1983, a comprehensive renovation addressed the roof, masonry, and ceiling, while a 1994 redesign of the altar area was carried out by Cologne sculptor Theo Heiermann. A subsequent exterior renovation in 2013 restored the church's façade to its original hues, and a fresh interior painting followed in 2016, rejuvenating its sacred atmosphere.

World War II inflicted severe damage on the organ, but a new instrument was built in 1950 by the French firm Haerpfer & Erman, incorporating the original late Baroque casing. In 1983, a new organ was constructed by Hugo Mayer, featuring 24 stops across two manuals and a pedal, with mechanical action and electric stop action, continuing to enchant churchgoers with its melodious tones.
